From the Easel of Steph Dunn:

Thanks for visiting my site! My name is Steph. I am a painter, illustrator, teacher and author from Orillia, Ontario. I am a painter of all things nature and Canadian inspired. I have an affinity to trees and this is very much evident in my body of work.

I obtained my Bachelor of Fine Arts at York University in 2002, where I specialized in studio arts, namely painting. I also earned my Bachelor of Education at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. I am also a children’s book author and illustrator. When I am not in my studio cooking up unique acrylic Canadiana paintings, I am teaching visual art at Orillia Secondary School. I live with my two tiny roommates, Fiona and Eleanor, as well as my husband, Sam and my rescue golden doodle, Arlo.

It is wonderful to feel the grandness of Canada in the raw, not because she is Canada but because she’s something sublime that you were born into, some great rugged power that you are a part of.
